The highly anticipated Free Fire World Series (FFWS) 2021 has been scheduled for May 2021 in Singapore. The tournament will have the top 22 teams worldwide battling it out for the champion crown and the biggest chunk of the USD 2 Million prize pool. The Galaxy Racer and Team Elite, were set to represent India in this esports event.

But due to travel restrictions, these two Indian teams will not be able to compete in the tournament. In an announcement made by Garena Free Fire on social media, the company revealed that the two teams would be excluded from the tournament. This decision was made after the Singapore government declared that visitors with a recent travel history to India within 14 days would not be permitted to enter the country.

Both the teams had qualified for the finals and the play-ins of FFWS 2021 with their exceptional performance at the Free Fire India Championship 2021 Spring Finals.

With the two teams no longer a part of the tournament, there will be no Indian representation in this World Series. We hope that with the vaccines now being administered, deserving teams like Galaxy Racer and Team Elite will again represent India on the world stage.
